As some of you may recall, a few weeks ago I gave a brief workshop for AU faculty on “Using Free Online Tools to Promote Student Learning and Collaboration.” Today, I’ll be giving an informal follow-up talk to the AU Career Center on the use of online tools for student job-seekers, external promotion, and internal staff communication. I call it “Right Tools, Right Jobs.” And yes, I used another Prezi template.
The plan is to focus on cross-over best practices in the selection and use of online tools for all academic audiences, from Career Center staff to graduating students. In the process, I’m hoping that we’ll have time to experiment en masse with a few fun examples, such as Jing, Instagram, and DropBox. Because everyone likes a hands-on tools workshop, right?
